Louis T. Savino, III Foundation - Raising Money for Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs)
Louis T. Savino, III died on October 12, 2000 at Macclesfield in Bucks County, PA during a Soccer practice of and undetected congenital heart condition known as hyperthropic cardiomyopathy.
Established in December, 2000 by Louis’ mother, Toni, and Aunt, the foundation raises funds for lifesaving devises known as Automated external Defibrillators (AEDs). To date the foundation has donated more than $70,000 locally and across the country towards these essential AED units and important lifesaving programs. Their mission is to see that all schools and youth facilities are Heart-Safe.

In 2009 Damon, a member of the Central Bucks Rotary, founded the annual “Ride For The Heroes” fundraiser, a
police-escorted motorcycle ride through the Bucks County countryside and parts of New Jersey. Last year more than 600 riders participated in the event. Grants were awarded to ten organizations whose missions range from sending out care packages to troops deployed overseas, to providing equine therapy to veterans.

Established in 2011, the foundations mission is to provide much needed emotional and financial support to individuals and families facing the challenges associated with pediatric brain cancer. Through many different fundraisers, to date, the foundation has supported over 450 families.

As a member of the board, Emma and Damon’s kids were big helpers at one of the local fundraisers.

Frank is an annual sponsor of the Think Grey Foundation Golf Tournament that is held annually at Lookaway Golf Course.
